The CLPR Report
Page 1 of the CLPR Report provides a summary, including ages
at which probability of survival is 50%, 30% and 10%.

Based on the analysis of the client’s medical information, our system creates a
longevity curve. It enables us to calculate the probability of survival at any age
or any duration. In the box at the top, we highlight the ages at which the probability
of survival is 50%, 30% and 10%.
The red text at the left describes our statistical process – creating a hypothetical
pool of 1,000 people who exactly match the client’s profile, then calculating how
many in the statistical pool are likely to be alive in each year going forward.
This stream of statistical possibilities is charted as the client’s longevity curve.
In the diagram at the bottom, we overlay on the client’s red curve a gray curve
for a “standard” person of the client’s age and gender, with the same smoking habits.
This curve is based on insurance industry mortality tables. It underscores for the
client the value of a customized longevity analysis. His or her curve may happen
to match the standard curve; however, without the analysis, a responsible planner
would hesitate to assume “average” longevity.
