Every Customized Longevity Planning Report - or CLPR - is based on the information
we gather about a client’s specific medical, family and personal history. With the
eCLPR, that information is provided by your client, online.
The eCLPR is directly linked to our sophisticated proprietary software system, built
on our extensive mortality database. (For details on our systems and
the science of what we do, please click here.)
The eCLPR result is available in just a few minutes after the information is entered.
The report includes your client’s longevity curve, compared to a “standard” mortality
curve, and the ages at which your client’s survival probability is 50%, 30% and
10%.
With the CLPR results in hand, you can build your client’s financial plan on far
more meaningful projections than you could derive from the social security or life
insurance mortality tables.

eCLPR process
Here’s the basic eCLPR process if the planner is managing it. You can also provide
the client with our web address and let them handle the order on their own. It’s

Intro- duce the concept
|
Tell your client that one of the key pieces of information you need to ensure that
your recommendations are customized and suitable for their specific situation is
a reliable estimate of their life expectancy. Without a customized life expectancy
evaluation, you will have to base the plan on a "hunch," a generic mortality table
(social security, life insurance or pension table) or an ultra-conservative life
expectancy estimate – 95, 100 or 105. That last option puts undue stress on the
portfolio to perform for an extremely long time, and it could lead to recommendations
for investments, products and services that really aren’t in the client’s best interest.
Use the Decision Shortcut link to determine the most appropriate and cost-effective
CLPR option for your client. Or review the How Do You Choose? page to review the
CLPR options' differing costs and turnaround times, and which clients they fit best.
