CLIENT MANAGED. After you recommend
the use of the Customized Longevity Planning Report to your clients, you can direct
them to www.21stServices.com/Consumer to
learn more about our service, select the CLPR version they want and begin the process
– or, in the case of the eCLPR, complete the online questionnaire on the spot. Your
client can request that we send you a notification by email at the same time we
email them that the CLPR report is ready to view. Your email will have a link to
your Account page where the report will be waiting.

Here’s how to explain the value of longevity information for financial
planning
|
Intro- duce the concept
|
Tell your client that one of the key pieces of information you need to ensure that
your recommendations are customized and suitable for their specific situation is
a reliable estimate of their life expectancy. Without a customized life expectancy
evaluation, you would have to base the plan on a "hunch," a generic mortality table
(social security, life insurance or pension table) or an ultra-conservative life
expectancy estimate – 95, 100 or 105. That last option could potentially put undue
stress on the portfolio to perform for an extremely long time, and it could lead
to recommendations for investments, products and services that really aren't in
the client's best interest.
The Customized Longevity Planning Report from 21st Services is one of the best ways
to get a reliable longevity estimate. You can direct the client to our website (www.21stServices.com/Consumer) to find
out more about the CLPR, to determine which version (eCLPR, Silver or Platinum)
will work best, and to place their order. In the case of the eCLPR, they can order
and provide the information we need in one short computer session.
Let them know that they will have the option to send you a link to their report.
If you want to receive the CLPR, be sure to give the client your email address.
We have several communication tools to
help you introduce the Customized Longevity Planning Report concept to your clients:

consumer information brochure (pdf) .

Services founder and Chief Underwriting Officer Paul Kirkman.

Order the CLPR
|
The 21stServices.com/Consumer link will
take your client to a page where they can find out how the CLPR is produced, why
it’s so reliable and how useful its results are for financial planning. Your client
will click on the ‘Products/Order Now’ link at the upper left of every page to review
their product choices, use our decision tools to select the version of the CLPR
that’s right for them, and then place their order. Payment is handled online.
eCLPR
The eCLPR is the online version. The client will be able to answer questions about
their health and medical history as they sit at the computer. Your client will receive
an email with a link to the results within 15-30 minutes after they complete the
online questionnaire. If you and your client agree that you should receive the CLPR
report, you will receive an email with a link to your Account page to access the
report there.
Silver CLPR
The Silver CLPR is based on a guided telephone interview with a 21st Services professional.
When your client places the order at the 21st Services website, he or she will indicate
the best day and time for the call.
Within 24 hours of the telephone interview, your client will receive an email with a link to the results
– their CLPR report. If you and your client agree that you should
receive the CLPR report, you will receive an email with a link to your Account page
to access the report there.
Platinum CLPR
The Platinum CLPR is based on your client’s medical records for the past five years.
On our website, on the Platinum CLPR order page, your client can download and print
the Medical Records Information Form, Supplemental Questionnaire and Authorization
Form. Instructions are on the order page for sending us the completed forms.
21st Services will contact your client’s physician(s) and request copies of the
client’s medical records. Physicians’ offices can take anywhere from 2 to 7 weeks
to supply the copies of the medical records. Once we receive them, 21st Services
will complete the underwriting analysis and generate the CLPR report in under 2
weeks.
After our underwriters have reviewed the medical records and our system has analyzed
the pertinent data, we will prepare the CLPR report and send your client an email
with a link to it. If you and your client agree that you should receive the CLPR
report, you will receive an email with a link to your Account page to access the
report there.
(NOTE: There is a discount version
of the Platinum CLPR – $200 off if the client can provide copies of their
own medical records. If your client has access to their medical records, recommend
they call 877-317-3008 for information about the process.)
|
Deliver the CLPR
|
Your client will receive the CLPR before or at the same time you do, so you will
not be delivering the results. Click to see a sample cover letter that the client will receive with
their report.
Whether you’re doing financial planning, retirement planning or estate planning,
or you’re recommending investments, life insurance, annuities or long-term care,
the CLPR will help you give more practical and suitable advice. Plus, the CLPR gives
you "third-party" support, helping you demonstrate to clients that your recommendations
are sound.
Click here for a list of questions
the CLPR can help you answer for your client. A version of these questions is in
the client’s cover letter to the CLPR. The questions were posed by Stephan R. Leimberg,
Esq., in his article "Life Expectancy Tool of the Future Is Here Now." Link to the full Stephan Leimberg article.
Peter Klein in his article "New Sales Tool for Financial Professionals: Reality
Check for Financial Plans" writes about how planners can address the specific financial
concerns that a long, short or average life expectancy entail. Link to the Peter Klein
